Summary
Twiggs County School District is currently seeking an experienced, passionate Head Football Coach.
In addition to coaching the varsity football team, responsibilities include the organization
management of the school's football program, including overseeing the middle school and ju
varsity programs. Strong leadership skills, positive, education-based approach, and intense
knowledge of the game are required. Candidates must have a substantial understanding of fit
and training regimens appropriate for high school athletes. Candidates should be tenaci
energetic, and motivated, and possess a willingness to commit the required time to build
program, attract and train assistant coaches, and be a productive member of the overall learning
community.
Qualifications:
- Prefer an Educational Specialist Degree with five years of successful classroom teaching experience and eligible for a valid Georgia teaching certificate
- Must have head coach or assistant head coach experience
- Teach fundamental skills and team football concepts
- Possess a dynamic personality that energizes the Twiggs County community
- Interact positively and professionally with student-athletes of different ages
- Demonstrate a high degree of integrity
- Motivate and mentor student-athletes
- Must promote school spirit
- Communicate with school administration and football families
- Plan, organize and execute off-season, summer, and pre-season training and preparation programs
- Demonstrate the ability to manage the football budget, raise funds, plan, and prioritize football expenses.
