PRIMARY FUNCTION: Under direction of the school’s principal, plans and provides for appropriate learning experience for students. Provides an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of individuals to ensure achievement and performance for every child.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
Educational Level: Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required.
Certification/License Required: Clear Renewable certificate and/or Clearance certificate, Level 4 or higher; or comparable certificate from out-of-state which must meet GA Professional Standards Commission requirements
Physical Activities: Routine Physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.

Communicates effectively and appropriately within the school community; promotes public relations and facilitates positive communications between the school and community.

Organizes and manages meetings, conflicts, reports, and paperwork.

Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of curriculum; supervises and evaluates students and their performance.

Establishes a positive school climate that includes high expectations, interactive teaching, clearly defined goals and objectives.
7.
Supervises student conduct and monitors their progress toward achieving specified goals.
8.
Administers and improves the total school curriculum in compliance with all procedures, standards, and regulations.
9.
Organizes and coordinates programs, tasks, and materials to enhance student learning
10.
Appropriately organizes and supervises all curricular and extracurricular activities of the students
11.
Implements student support team functions according to guidelines.
12.
Allocates resources, supervises students.
13.
Performs any and all other duties and responsibilities as requested by school administrators.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Position requires mostly sitting, standing, and walking. Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and kneeling are required, with weights not normally to exceed thirty (30) pounds. Must be able to tolerate all types of weather conditions and must work outside on occasion.
